Some vacation photos from Jeff. He had to leave to his home country to get his permanent visa for Spain. Apparently combined the paperwork with some vacation... See you soon in Seville! /Markus The AVE to Madrid included a stop in the bar car to share a beer with some Japanese tourists and people from a small pueblo outside of Sevilla. One day after landing and we were on our way to Washington DC in a quest for my visado. We arrived at 4pm and did a quick tour. Granada and I couldn’t help but think of home. We did manage to cure a bit of homesickness by stopping at Jaleo. This is a real tapas bar in Washington and the food was really good. Here you see croquetas and pulpo, or octopus. We stopped in Chinatown during our one day stay in Washington D.C. The next morning we headed to the Spanish Embassy in search of a visado. We spent a few days visiting family in Nova Scotia and enjoyed a sunset view of some boats on a lake in Baddeck, in Cape Breton. One of the many fabulous views on the Cape Breton trail. Here I am witnessing the world’s biggest tides at the Bay of Fundy. The change from low to high tide can be as much as 15 meters. Close Window |
