The Pensión Bienvenido is located on pedestrian street, just a few blocks from the Puerta de la Carne in the juderia, or old Jewish quarter of the city. The 14 room accommodation shares a street with several other small hostals and pensiónes. All rooms in the small inn have windows and a wash basin, and all rooms are located on upper floors. A large roof terrace with chairs and tables is the perfect place to relax in the late afternoon. A smaller roof terrace towards the back of the building offers views of several nearby churches.

The historic building previously served as an auxiliary of the Santa Maria la Blanca church next door. The pensión has plenty of natural light from exterior windows on both sides, as well as the large sets of windows which line the interior patio. There are excellent views of the Santa Cruz and juderia quarters from the roof terraces.

This section of the city is mainly comprised of small pedestrian streets, and is an excellent location to explore the city on foot. Just outside the main entrance, guests are less than a minute's walk from two churches which were once synagogues. The pensión is convenient to parks and gardens, such as Parque Maria Luisa and the Jardines Murillo, as well as the University of Seville. Why we selected this pension... Top |

The location in Santa Cruz is perfect for exploring Seville's most historic and typical quarters. We like the proximity to the monuments as well as several parks and gardens: Parque Maria Luisa, the Murillo Gardens and the Prado de San Sebastian. The location is also excellent for city and regional transport: several city bus lines have stops just a few blocks from the pensión, while the metro and tram lines can both be reached within less than a 10 minute walk. The Prado regional bus station and the Santa Justa train station are also on this side of the city center. Within the Pension Bienvenido there are several things we took note of. First is that every room has a window and a wash basin. Second, most rooms have high ceilings which make the rooms feel more spacious. Third, in many of the rooms the owners have spent additional time in decorating: tasteful prints and pastel colors on the walls are well coordinated. While a small detail, it makes the rooms feel more welcoming, and we could say the same for the original losa floors in the hallways. Finally there are the two roof terraces on the third floor and the small back patio on the second floor. The main roof terrace has several tables and chairs, with plenty of space to relax. The back roof terrace offers views of several churches and patios of the Hotel Casas de la Juderia. On the second floor two rooms have small windows onto a small terrace which faces the interior patios and gardens of the Hotel Las Casas de la Juderia.
