Where are the hotels and hostals located in the city? Are they
in the center?
All of the establishments in sevilla5.com are located in the historic center of
the city, or casco antiguo. Each establishment we select is of short
walking distance to the major monuments and shopping district. You can also find
the location of each hotel and hostal in the City
Map section.
Do the hotels and hostals serve breakfast? Is breakfast included
in the price of the room?
Many of the hotels offer a simple breakfast or a breakfast buffet. Most of the
hostals do not serve breakfast. Hostals which offer breakfast are Hostal Callejon del Agua (free light courtesy breakfast) and Hostal Sierpes (3,50 Euros for typical Spanish breakfast). Most of the hotels charge breakfast separate from the
room rate. To see if the hotel serves breakfast check the "Price" section in the
detailed information page specific to the hotel. The following hotels include
breakfast in the price of the room: Hotel Casa Imperial, Hotel Alcoba del Rey, Hotel Casona de San Andres, Hosteria del Laurel and Hotel La Casa del Maestro.
Do the hotels and hostals have air conditioning?
All hotels have air conditioning in the rooms. All hostals
also have air conditioning, with the exception of the following: Hostal Lis II does not have air conditioning. Hostal La Montoreña and Hostal Catedral offer
air conditioning for an additional fee.
Do the hotels and hostals have en suite or private bathrooms?
All establishments classified as hotels have en suite, or private bathrooms. All of the hostals in our directory have private bathrooms, with the following exceptions:
-Hostal Lis II: Single rooms and some double/twin rooms have a shared bath.
-Hostal Catedral and Hostal La Montoreña:
all rooms have a shared bath.
Is parking available?
Some of the hotels offer private parking which is not included in the price of
the room. All hotels and hostals have public parking garages close by which have
per day parking rates. We try to supply the correct per day rates for public parking
(generally between 15 - 20€ per day). Please note these rates can change,
and we recommend you use this information as an approximation only.
When is it considered high season and low season?
Each establishment may have different dates for high and low seasons. In general
the months of January, February, July, August and parts of November/December are
considered low season. High season generally includes the months of March, April,
May, June, September and October, as well as regional and national holidays. The weeks of Semana Santa and Feria de Abril
always have separate rates and conditions for reservations. The dates for these
weeks change every year.
Is tax included in the price of the rooms? What is IVA?
We always quote the price including tax in our email correspondence to you. The
rate is 7% VAT tax (I.V.A) which each hotel or hostal must charge by law on top
of the daily rate. Again this tax is always included in the price we send to you
via email. There are no additional taxes to pay.
How do I reserve a room?
To make a reservation you must first check availability and price using the “Request
a Reservation” form. We will contact you via email, generally within
24 hours or less, regarding availability and total price for the room. It may
take up to 48 hours to receive a response from some establishments, especially
over the weekend. A credit card is required to book a room in all of the hotels
and hostals. You can provide payment information online by secure
server or fax your information to us. Detailed instructions are sent in each
email quote.
What credit cards are accepted?
Every hotel and hostal accepts Visa and Mastercard. Some accept other cards such
as American Express and Diner’s Club. To see which cards are accepted for
a specific hotel please check the “Price” section in the detailed
information page specific to the hotel. Or check this
chart directly. Please be sure to check which cards are accepted for your
hotel or hostal before sending your payment information.
I don't have a credit card. Can I pay in cash upon arrival
or via bank transfer?
Unfortunately a credit card is required to make a reservation. At this time it
is not possible to pay via bank transfer. In most cases (excluding Semana Santa/Feria
de Abril, and in cases where the establishment requires a deposit) the credit
card is used only as a guarantee. In this case you can choose to pay in cash when
your arrive. However, you must always provide a credit card to confirm your reservation.
How can I send my payment information? Is it safe to send
my information via the internet?
You may choose from two methods of sending the payment information. Locate the
link on the left side of the hotel page which says “fax
or secure server”. Fill in the form and click on the appropriate button
to send it via SSL over the internet or to print and fax the form to us. If you
choose to send your information online please note we make use of a secure server
(SSL) which encrypts all of your personal and credit card information for safe
transmission of data.
Will the hotel or hostal charge my credit card before arrival?
Most hotels and hostals only require the credit card as a guarantee for the reservation
and will not charge the card. Some hotels and hostals require a charge to your
credit card as a guarantee for the reservation. This amount (less bank charges
incurred by the establishment) is refundable provided you cancel according to
the hotel or hostal cancellation policy. If the establishment requires a deposit
it will be indicated in the “Prices” section. Not including the dates
of Semana Santa and Feria, the following hotels and hostals require a deposit:
-Hotel Alcoba del Rey: 50% of the total reservation cost, only
during the dates of 15 March - 15 May
-Hotel Marian: the rate on one night's stay
-Hostal Lis II: the rate on one night's stay
During Semana Santa and Feria de Abril, many hotels and hostals require a deposit
at the time of confirming your reservation. Please refer to the "Prices"
section on the page of the specific establishment for details. Charges to your
credit card are always made by the hotel or hostal. Sevilla5.com does not charge
your credit card for the deposit.
What is the cancellation policy? Is there a fee for cancellation?
The cancellation policy of each establishment is different. You can check the
cancellation policy in the detailed information page specific to the hotel or
hostal under the “Price” section. The establishment may charge the
rate of one night or more if you cancel with short notice or fail to appear on
the scheduled arrival date. We recommend that you check the cancellation policy
specific to the hotel or hostal for the terms and conditions. Please note the
weeks of Semana Santa and Feria have separate terms and conditions for cancellation.
Charges to your credit card are always made by the hotel or hostal.
How can I cancel my reservation? Does sevilla5

recommend contacting the hotel or hostal directly to cancel your reservation.
